Crabapple Has Two Greens Now. Here's How Milton's Thursday Nights Work Through December

Tonight, from 4 to 8 p.m., Wanderlust Food Truck Fest sets up on both sides of downtown Milton for its Halloween Feast. Each lawn gets its own lineup of trucks and its own Halloween activity. Entry and parking are free. This is the second Thursday Wanderlust has been part of Crabapple's fall, and it marks a change in how downtown's evenings are organized. From now until Christmas, the regular evening event is on Thursday, and it uses two lawns at once.

That change is recent. The Milton Farmers Market spent its season on the third Wednesday of each month, 4 to 7 p.m., at Market District Crabapple. Its last market of 2026 was Wednesday, October 21. Eight days later, Thursday is the night to plan around.

Wednesday handed off to Thursday

Wanderlust is new to Milton this year. When the City of Milton announced the series on October 6, it described the event this way:

"Wanderlust is a totally new, exciting concept for Milton that launches its 2026 season on October 15."

The schedule has five nights: October 15, October 29, November 12, December 3 and December 10. Every night runs four hours starting at 4 p.m., and the City says trucks will rotate from one date to the next. Appen Media reported that admission is free and that guests pay each vendor for what they order.

The farmers market used one lawn on one Wednesday a month. Wanderlust comes about every other Thursday and uses two lawns. One is the Market District Crabapple side, where the City says the live music plays. The other is the gravel area behind Crabapple Market, close to The Green, where the cornhole boards go up. The City's announcement calls Market District the "East Side," while its Oct. 29 calendar listing labels the sides differently, so this post uses each lawn's actual name and address.

Tonight's two lineups, side by side

The lineup for the Halloween Feast shows how the two-lawn setup works. Neither side repeats a truck from the other, and each has its own timed activity.

The Green at Crabapple Market, off Wishart Walk

  • Snowie Atlanta
  • Coney Factory
  • Gyro Chef
  • Southern Porch
  • Sazon Unico
  • Vice Steak Bar
  • Halloween goodie bag giveaway, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The Park at Market District Crabapple, 3300 Heritage Walk

  • The Little Sober Bar
  • Vanilla Crepes
  • Flavor on the Fork
  • Rell's Co.
  • Signature Sip
  • Hyde Brewing
  • Suite 200 Grille
  • Halloween costume contest, 7 p.m.

On a night with young kids, the timing settles most of the planning. Start at the Crabapple Market green for the goodie bags, then walk over to the Market District side before the costume contest at 7. Going the other way doesn't work well, because the giveaway ends half an hour before the contest begins.

Some of the trucks on the Market District side belong to businesses already on that block. Hyde Brewing and Suite 200 Grille both have regular locations at Market District Crabapple. Vice Steak Bar is listed as a Market District business too, but tonight it's serving from the Crabapple Market green.

Why the second lawn exists

The Market District lawn is the newer of the two. On August 6, the City announced a new outdoor event space at the eastern end of Market District Crabapple, across from Hyde Brewing. Crews had spent months building it, and the plans include a permanent stage. The farmers market was the first regular booking named for the space. Wanderlust has now given it an evening schedule for the rest of fall.

The new lawn shapes the night because each green is surrounded by different businesses, and those businesses are open while the trucks are parked.

Around the Market District lawn are Yum! Thai Cuisine & Bar, Vice Steak Bar, Smash Burgers by Vice and Hyde Brewing, which the development calls Milton's first microbrewery. On a cold December Thursday, that means a full bar and indoor seats are a few steps from the trucks.

Around The Green at Crabapple Market are many more restaurants. Crabapple Market's dining directory lists B&B Tavern Crabapple, Lily Sushi Bar, Resto L'Antoinette, Olde Blind Dog Irish Pub, Six Bridges Brewing, The Nest Café, Peace Love and Pizza, Knuckies Hoagies, Playa Bowls and MilkShake Factory. Shops are nearby as well, including Poe & Company Bookstore, Indigo Home & Design, The Twisted Thread, Whitetail Bicycles and Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming. If the evening includes holiday shopping, park on this side.

Parking on the Crabapple Market side

The Green has posted parking guidance for events. Guests can use the Lecoma Trace spaces, the gravel lot across Lecoma Trace, an eastern lot reached from Wishart Walk, overflow grass parking, and City Hall parking on weekends or evenings. The two-level garage and the spaces in front of the Wishart Walk businesses are kept for those businesses' customers. On the Market District side, the trucks set up in the development's own parking lot. That's worth remembering if you arrive late on a busy night.

The calendar from here to the holidays

After tonight, the Thursday food truck nights continue, and a few other events fall in between them. In mid-November, two of them land on consecutive days.

Date Event Where Time
Sat., Nov. 7 Grace on The Green, Kevin Swan & The Well Collective The Green at Crabapple Market 7–9 p.m.
Thu., Nov. 12 Wanderlust Food Truck Fest Both lawns 4–8 p.m.
Fri., Nov. 13 Holiday Market Shop, Sip & Stroll The Green at Crabapple Market 1–5 p.m.
Thu., Dec. 3 Wanderlust Food Truck Fest Both lawns 4 p.m. start
Sat., Dec. 5 Christmas in Crabapple Broadwell Pavilion, 12615 Broadwell Road 2–6 p.m.
Thu., Dec. 10 Wanderlust Food Truck Fest Both lawns 4 p.m. start

November 12 and 13. A food truck Thursday leads straight into a Friday afternoon holiday market. The event listing for the Holiday Market Shop, Sip & Stroll describes about 75 local artisans and makers, holiday music, free photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, adoptable pets from FurKids, kids' activities from Mathnasium, and food and drinks from Chick-fil-A, Tres Lunas and Olde Blind Dog. It runs from 1 to 5 p.m. on a weekday, so it suits anyone who can leave work early or who doesn't work Fridays.

That same Friday evening, Painted Horse Winery at 13762 Hopewell Road has a five-course wine dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. on its vineyard terrace, at $185 per person. With the market in the afternoon and the dinner at night, a Milton holiday Friday can be planned entirely within the city.

December 3, 5 and 10. The busiest stretch of the season falls here. Christmas in Crabapple is between two Wanderlust Thursdays, but it takes place at Broadwell Pavilion instead of either green. The City's event page lists face painting, a DJ and local musicians including members of the Milton High chorus, a balloon artist, ornament and cookie decorating, letters to Santa, and free Santa photos with no reservation needed. The tree is lit at dusk, followed by singalongs. If you only want one family photo with Santa this December, the City event is free and walk-up. One more Santa stop follows a week later. Fire Station 44 at 13690 Highway 9 hosts Pancake Breakfast with Santa on December 12, from 8 to 11 a.m., with no registration.

What still isn't announced

Three things are still open.

First, the trucks for November 12, December 3 and December 10 haven't been named. The City has only said that each night will be "a little different," with trucks rotating. The Halloween Feast lineup was posted on Market District Crabapple's Instagram feed before the event, so watch @marketdistrictcrabapple for the next ones.

Second, nothing has been posted yet about parking or a shuttle for Christmas in Crabapple. The Milton Journal noted in its October 5 update that the City hadn't announced a parking plan, shuttle or road closure for the event. Check the City's event page again the week of December 5.

Third, the skating rink is only an idea for now. In its August announcement, the City said Market District was "looking into creating an outdoor skating rink there starting in November." There's no opening date, operator or ticket price yet. If it opens, it would give the new lawn a winter use beyond the Thursday food trucks.

For now, the confirmed plan is simple. On Thursday evenings, trucks set up on both greens. Each side has its own lineup, and you choose a lawn based on which restaurants, shops and parking suit your night. Tonight's Halloween Feast is the first Wanderlust night with a theme, and three more dates follow before the end of the year.

Living a short walk from these two lawns has become more appealing every season, and that matters when it's time to price a home nearby.
